🧠 How Women Came to Power

Disclaimer: This article addresses gender roles as a binary descriptively, not prescriptively. 98%+ of gendered relations reflect the binary, and I approach structures of gendered relations with that in mind here. Non-binary and intersex people obviously exist, but are not the primary subject of this article. I am also centering the mean 80% of modern, urban, western life, it being the site of most advanced sociogenic decay.

There are deep parallels in the frigidity of women being protective of their physical body and men being protective of their emotional one. Both are punished with direct violence and overwhelming societal stigma for the overly-free dissemination of their interiors1 - yet must make themselves vulnerable to achieve self-actualisation. Both develop sophisticated understanding of the dynamics of these influences on themselves and their position in society, yet they often lack understanding of the opposing gender's reflected experience. There exists here a near perfect guide already held in possession by most people, that merely requires a translation from the psychic realm to the physical one, and vice versa.

There is, it appears, a radical opportunity for empathetic understanding.

The Physio/Psycho-social Landscape

It must not be understated that2 the deadlier of the two disadvantaged positions (that being the physical) has been assigned to women. It must also not be understated that while protectiveness of interiority is a utilious reaction to threat, it is also a fundamental obstacle to self-actualisation - existing in this state enables survival without thriving. We have, therefore, a symmetrical difference in the general advantages and disadvantages men and women hold - it is easier for a man to survive, but harder for a man to thrive - harder for a woman to survive, but easier for her to thrive.

Women are disadvantaged in matters of social and sexual violence, denied access to physical resources and threatened by the physical supremacy of men. The biological differences, that do exist, are a seed from which an exaggerated form of relation develops - women are socialised to prioritise befriending, submissive internalisation while men are coerced towards violent, dominant externalisations. These differences unfold from the origin of biological markers and expand well beyond the justifications of their inception,3 forming the landscape of gender relations in which we communicate.

Emotional Interiority, Vulnerability and Suicide

Women are advantaged in their quicker-developing, deeper emotional intelligence and the social acceptability of expanding their interior life to their social circles. This is in many ways governed by historical sexual relations, but is simultaneously reinforced by the biological reality of the female sex - the majority of women experience a monthly cycle of retreat, introspection (due to the impact of hormones on emotional experience) and recovery that promotes an iterative cycle of emotional exploration and maturity. It is usually impossible to dismantle an interior systemic psychostructure without vulnerability, and vulnerability is in many ways not optional for women on account of both their social relations to patriarchy and their personal relation to their biological processes. Enforced vulnerability, quite obviously, makes one more vulnerable, but also makes vulnerability itself an experience one can persevere through, making women more emotionally resilient4 in the long term than men.

Men, by contrast, utterly lack emotional resilience to the extent that vulnerability is often inaccessible to them. They are rarely brought low emotionally in ways that enable a dismantling and restoration of their psychostructures, so traumatic experiences are instead externalised into, often addictive, vices like synthetic intimacy, substance abuse and content consumption. Once again, this is partly due to their biological realities but heavily reinforced by social stigmatism and structures of patriarchal control, which influence and negatively impact men as thoroughly as they do women - power is corruptive and isolating after all. Women therefore occupy a superior position in navigating psychointeriority over men, holding hierarchical dominion in aspects of life defined by emotional intelligence like sociality, sexual relationships and domesticity.

This is well represented by gender differences in the disparity between psychic versus physical deaths. Women are much more vulnerable to physical violence, far more likely to be the victim of physically abusive domestic environments and sexual violence. They are also far more likely to suffer from mental disorders like Major Depression, yet are 25% as likely to ever commit suicide. Suicide is a functional representation of "psychic death" resulting in effectively the same outcome as physical death. This is a genuine advantage over men exclusively held by women thanks to both their superior individual capacity for emotional intelligence, and (possibly even following on from that by understanding the value and necessity of them) their pre-emptively constructed emotional support networks. Resiliency is being depressed and not killing yourself - men are notoriously bad at this.

Support networks are based on mutual trust, which is most easily built with exchanges of vulnerability. You cannot be certain someone genuinely values their bond if they have never encountered a situation where they would be benefitted by ignoring it. Thus to build trust, one needs to engage in escalating vulnerabilities to create connections solidified by opportunities to betray one another not taken. Once again, the resiliency and acceptance of vulnerability that women build in their social networks enable trust building in a manner not available to men outside highly oppressive, often violent structures, like the military, religion and disaster. The occasional social disasters and negative experiences women experience by exposing themselves to emotional danger build resiliency, experience and, perhaps most crucially, empathy, allowing them to understand and sympathise with others who they may encounter experiencing it in the future. Empathy is obviously morally virtuous, but more important here it is an accurate predictive model of human behaviour.

It is unsurprising, then, that men are far more vulnerable to deaths of despair, and that male loneliness and the failure to attract a mate results in both internalised and especially externalised violence.

Physical Interiority, Externalisation and Violence

Where men are advantaged is in the domain of the physical, in both structures of reality and technostructures of culture and capital. The same socialised inceptors for action, violence and dominance coincide with the instinctual externalisations of problems. They hold the capital, the keys to reality, and they are the ones generally ending up in the position to manipulate it by force, charisma or advance. The "Great Men of History" are just that, by deliberate design and hierarchy. Men are far more likely to extend their locus of control to the outside world, altering their environment to coincide with their interior state rather than the feminine strategy of altering one's internal state to cohere with the external.

This naturally conflicts with analysis, internalisation requires intimate understanding of the structure to be internalised, demolition does not. This unfortunately overextends into willing or unwilling ignorances that lead to social confusion, isolation and of course violence. Rape is most commonly a, wilfully ignorant or otherwise, misunderstanding of the environment, a failure to 'read the room', a dismissal of the interiority of another. The underdeveloped interiority of the man in realition to his physical world leads to a misprioritisation of a woman's physical state over her internal one. We have attempted, with some but not overwhelming success, to remedy this with clear societal guidance on "enthusiastic consent" and coercive power structures5to provide women language and tools of cultural and social capital as a power base from which to protect themselves.

As we continue to deteriorate into structures of systemic domination, cultural stagnation and antiviolence, men become worse suited to society. Most obviously, the collapse of physical freedoms reduces the capacity for any individual to radically alter their environment, but more insidously, the environment has become individualistically flexible, enveloping its prey in algorithmic snares reinforcing solipsistic maladaptions. Occasional explosions of rebellion - school shootings, assassinations, terrorism, political extremism - extrude from a broadly impotent male population.

We can identify this by the stark, worsening gender imbalance in unalterable structures like schooling and academia - where women vastly outperform men both overall and in most fields. Where men do better, STEM, they are benefitted by radically altering their structural or physical environment via engineering theories or widgets. At younger age cohorts women in advanced urban centres also outperform men in many social and economic markers, including earning potential. As the technostructures ossify and success is defined by internalising them, women begin to advance far past men. Somewhat awkwardly I am reminded of the plight of some prominent ethnic minorities - the Jew forced into undervalued positions in banking and media before finding themselves at the helm of the future superstructure, or the African forcibly shipped to the cultural capital of the world from a developing nation, now pioneering its cultural productions.

As Yoko Ono put it, "woman is the nigger of the world". To further the point, she is similarly well situated to inherit its future.

Symbolic Manipulation in the Technofeudal Power Structure

As raw dominance becomes less successful a strategy beyond the accumulation of novel capital6, as individuals lose the ability to alter their reality - woman becomes not king, but vizier. Power literally atrophies critical thinking, for the same reasons someone brilliant at manipulation becomes worse at empathy - if you can obtain your desires highly consistently with your most successfully adapted trait, other traits begin to become vestigial. This does not negate power, but leaves it open to manipulation from beneath - a potential avenue for a dual-power structure imperceptible to those on top. This is a common trope of historical court drama, highly relevant to technofeudal powerstructures of digital fiefdoms and decimated social mobility.

In the capitalist frame of "success" women still broadly lag behind, but in the frame of attaining self-actualisation and happiness - I'd argue the real meaningful pursuit of most people whether implicitly through the pursuit of diminishing economic stability or cultural status - they excel. Women are far more satisfied outside of relationships than men are, able to substitute romantic success for social relationships that still meet many of their needs - they are less likely to find themselves addicted (though not immune, particularly to social media) and better suited to cultivating a productive and fulfilling life without a romantic relationship.

Women, broadly, tend towards social hobbies, variety, creativity and zeitgeistiness. Male fixations tend to be deep, narrow, repetitious and more addictive - history, politics, video games, synthetic intimacy, "man in a shed" hobbies. These distribute women better towards symbolic manipulation with broad lateral skillsets and men towards isolated, alienated exceptionalism often in service of a larger institution. The Autistic Man may be better suited to engaging in the system as intended, but the Schizophrenic Woman is far better suited to subverting it.

The Male Cuckold and the Female Bull

It is no wonder that in the most advanced urban economies in the world young women are beginning to outpace young men, then. The dominant power structure is better navigated by the Witch than the Engineer, ritual, psychostructural manipulation and social attunement are simply more effective strategies in this system.7 This is the seed of fury fueling rampant reactionary hatred of viral TikToks, over and over again, like 'Gen Z Boss and a Mini'. Every man made furious by this innocous video is a cuckold - they have been psychoraped by women far better at manipulating capital than them. They are losing at their own game. They have established a power structure they intended to reap the benefits of, before these women slipped in unnoticed, disregarded, and fucked their corpowaifu.

There is no better explanation for the ritualistic resurfacing of these Australian girls running a minor skincare brand, personally totally disconnected from most political discourse. Their follow-up - reading the hate comments in the same sing-song tone was an absolute masterclass in symbolic manipulation - isolating and harpooning male rage into yet more cultural capital for them to exploit as marketing. The founder knew what she was doing, immediately flipping the tens of millions of views into a "Gen Z Boss and a Mini" skincare bundle to spin them into sales.

This is, frankly, par for the course in female symbolic manipulation. A similar trend with essentially identical dynamics emerged after Covid when women began posting TikTok "A Day at Work" Videos showing off what came to be known as "Adult Day Care" - working remotely from pools, enjoying a couple of meetings at what amounted to an activity center at Google HQ, showing off their lack of work as a virtue. Again, men were furious, their embarrassing submission to the grindset utterly subverted by women making the same, or greater, gains than them for very little work. Men, quite embarrassingly, responded by doubling down on depressive grindset entrepreneurial posting, deciding to try their best to lick clean through the boot of capital.

To be clear, these women are winning and these men are cucks. Vast structures of technocapital grew so cumbersome that it became virtuous to parasitically cling to the corpoleviathan siphoning imperceptible crumbs that are each individually large enough to sustain an entire human life. Men have committed to an idol that women prove demonstrably false on a daily basis - and this is where right-wing reactionaries turn a fury with neoliberalism into a fury with women.

Men have always identified as the husbands of their superstructures, whether Mother Earth, the Ship, or their Homeland. The Corporation is a woman and the Female Bull has fucked her.

The Cuckolded Husband has come home furious.

Male Retaliation & Female Cruelty

The retaliatory movement opposing the feminisation of society, which is a real phenomenon perhaps better regarded as the domestication of the human animal,8 revels in fantasies of a return to a violently ordered past or a collapse of society into anarchy. This is in many ways (beyond just a reaction to emerging feminine dominance) a fear response to demands on men to open themselves to emotional penetration, in part socialised but also held innately by virtue of the natural unfurling from typical male development - physical before psychic.

Overcoming this fear is made more difficult by the genuine punishments and loss of status men face for exposing interiority. Indeed, men tend to swing wildly between lockdown and open borders, they rarely experience formative opportunities to practice emotional pacing, in part because they refuse to undergo the potential humiliation of psychic apprenticeship.9 With no real internal mechanisms of emotional control allowing them to be more present and strategic about their submission, they delibidinise their emotional expression, passive, defensive and opposing all penetration.

These are tactics women know intimately, hard-won strategies for keeping themselves physically safe in vulnerable settings - they cautiously signal, push and pull, measure and assess the understanding of their partner before proceeding. To many men this is a confusing, pointless dance - "playing games" - while to women it is a crucial survival mechanism, itself a language and toolset to explore the contours of a situation with greater nuance. Positive sexual encounters contain a small element of risk, an instability held in a stable frame, a vulnerability rewarded for being shared.

We are stuck in a structural double-bind - men cling to a crumbling monopoly on violence as patriarchal structures become inhuman neuter leviathans of capital, while women ascend in psychosymbolic dominance but remain physically threatened and materially disadvantaged. Without a shared language of vulnerability, this threatens to metastasize into a collapse of trust, symbolic war and patriarchal guerilla violence.

With this understanding of the nuance of gendered interactions with men I appeal to the more emotionally intelligent gender to stop psychoraping them.

Psychorape in the Wild

We have established that women are broadly superior, vastly more competent and powerful in the psychic realm than men, for innate reasons as well as social survival mechanisms and reactions to oppression. We have also established that Men are in a position of defensive retaliation, reacting with violence, hatred and a hard rightward turn to reassert their physical dominance where their psychic power is lacking. In the same vein that calls to end the mutually violent Israel/Palestine conflict must focus on the combatant at the top of the hierarchy, I address this to women. It is the moral duty of the oppressor to end the war, but pragmatically it is the burden of the oppressed to actual do so.

I implore, with apologies, that women take on yet another burden - managing the emotional interiority of men as if they were gently coaxing a traumatised anxious woman in a consensual sexual encounter. Most importantly, not punishing vulnerability with psychic violence.

Before leaping to conclusions, if you disagree it may be worth taking a look at this thread, a common one, of men providing their personal experiences of the dangers of vulnerability. This is not a harsh critique of women - they have one viable weapon and they use it well to defend themselves. I am in no doubt that the vast majority of cases here were prompted by men being idiots or assholes and women consequentially psychically annihilating them. It is satisfying, and it is understandable, but it will perpetuate the Psychle of Violence.

Unfortunately, there are many maladaptive women in these positions of power, particularly those who have adopted pre-emptive defensive structures of maternal malice. There are many men who seem to demand mothering, but equally as many women whose first instinct is to mother men, build resentment and then abuse that position of power to rebalance the relationship in a cycle of frustration, neglect and abuse. Again, this is borne of its own generational or experienced trauma, but cannot justify the proliferation of harm to others. Violence to women yields psychoviolence enacted on men, just as psychoviolence upon men yields violence towards women.

As men once dominated the wilderness as predators, now women dominate the psychic wilderness with men as prey to their emerging symbosuperiority, hunting them amongst other cognitohazards.

Rewilding the Psychosubstrate

For the individual, the superstructure is as immutable as nature once was. It is an environment to navigate, individualism is a false promise and the libertarian dream of atomic fulfilment a fantasy ignoring the human animal, sociogenic actualisation and abstract systems of control. We cannot derisk without submission to all-powerful structures, uncertain relations are the only means to find novel connection.10 Animals struggle to mate in captivity and humans have found themselves in quite the same domesticated bliss of hedonic survival without jouissance.

We must make hurt hurt less. Oversaturated networks overstimulate ripples in them - coercive sexual encounters turn into rapes and cuckolded men turn into global humiliations. Trauma is a real phenomenon, just as the seeds of biological differences are, vastly overblown in rituals of social and self-revictimisation - we have known for quite some time that cementing traumatic events as 'life-changing', permanently identity-altering, victim-creation, is itself a means to make them so. Fear may be felt but it should not be aestheticised.

There is no final state that does not require work, tension and communication to hold at bay entropy - the work never finishes. Perhaps not work then, but ritual. Willingly repeated cycles of relation, minor changes, transitions and restructurings to relate to Father Leviathan as we once besought Mother Gaia. Enter the technowilderness, gather what you can, and return to your tribe understanding that to be an inhuman deific structure and your home to be your community. The Witch senses, the Engineer refines.

Under siege, women were forced into guarding their bodies, and men their hearts. Both must willingly risk presenting interiority and learn how to create the space for the other to do so. As women should not be raped when willingly making themselves vulnerable, men should not be psychoraped when they unfurl their interiors.

Danger must be reacquanted with, rituals re-established, tribes rebuilt - The Psychosubstrate Rewilded.

A prominent modern example is the issue of trans women in sports, where a genuine minor biological advantage may exist in particular circumstances, yet is blown entirely out of proportion particularly when you consider the single largest advantage in the 'meritocratic' system of sports is whether you were born wealthy enough to travel to the right camps, pay for the right equipment and tutelage and go to the right schools and/or born with the immutable genetic advantages to be exceptional. Sports overcompensates for this by prioritising the rags to riches stories.

The proliferation of women-led sex work influencing, eating disorders and depression/anxiety made socially contagious by social media are structures of female-on-female dominance (especially of younger cohorts) that should be regarded with caution. It does begin to slip outside the scope (or what little control I have of it) of this article, however.
